I backed it on Kickstarter and it's definitely the thing I'm happiest I backed. Jonathan Tweet​ actually knows how to write a children's book. I read Michael Chabon's kids book last night, and while it's pretty good, it shows that writing a book for children is not the same as writing for adults. Jonathan does it right. Two years ago, an agent reviewed the book but declined to take it because he didn’t think it was appealing. Meanwhile, a publisher of children’s nature books considered picking up Grandmother Fish, but a teacher advised them against it. He said that schools wouldn’t want it and that preschool is too young for kids to learn about evolution.
