Took the kids to The Croods yesterday at the second run theater. It was more entertaining than it had any right to be. I'm convinced it actually takes place in some kind of "after man" far future with crazy hybrid animals.

Best thing about the movie is that it has an OWLBEAR.

    We did the same on Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised. I decided it was just a fantasy world, but far-future works too.
    I was kinda surprised to see Merida er Tauriel er Ariel er "Stock willful teenage Red-Head female."
    I was pleased it didn't end-up in the normal anti-father place that much of Hollywood ends up.
