It is badass and exactly what I want in an King Arthur story.

    Thanks to my friend Geoff West for the original recommendation.  There are 3 books, Winter King, Excalibur, and Enemy of God.  They are bad-ass.

    That is my favorite book ever! Cornwell has some other great stuff as well as the Warlord chronicles. Check out his Saxon Shores series if historical Viking era stuff takes your fancy. But the Warlord chronicles is the best Arthurian tale in my books!
