Based on what we've seen of the two movies, it looks like 2014 is the year Rocket Raccoon and Groot became less absurd than the ninja turtles.

ReplyDeleteI like that Marvel has figured out that comic book movies can appeal to a broad audience without being dark and brooding. Someone should tell DC.
ReplyDeleteI like how Marvel's taking their C-listers (and let's agree, they are C-listers) not too seriously. If they want to get into the Infinity Gauntlet story like they've hinted, they need to go cosmic. And when you have a homicidal raccoon, his walking tree-bro, the adopted daughter of Death's BFF and a dude who calls himself…. Star Lord… you need to go with comedy.
