Authorities will pay for his capture, assassination of his apostles, introduction of heresies. Zealots recruiting for anti-Roman insurgency, specific targets available. Romans running COIN.
Lots of good factions here just from a NT reading with varying amounts of gold and social power as well as incompatible goals:
JEWS - Zealots: overthrow Rome, purge collaborators, wary of church and Sanhedrin but needs allies -Moderates: just want the conflict between Rome and Israel over - Sanhedrin: wants to stay in power, anti-church - Collaborators: tax collectors, informants, cultural adopters, trying to make it through, maybe make it out on top
ROMANS - The Man: crush the insurgency, who cares about the church - The Ambitious: make the Man look bad by ensuring Zealot victories on the sly, then take position
CHURCH - Apostles: keep head down, eliminate ethnic/cultural character of church, enforce orthodoxy, finger of death available - The Circumcision: enforce Jewish character of church, challenge apostolic authority, sympathetic or possibly collaborating with zealots - Proto-Gnostics: challenge the other parties, matter is evil man, let me tell you a mystery, supplant apostolic scriptures - Super-apostles: charismatic self-appointed apostles, challenger authority of other groups, bring in off-the-wall doctrine to lavish and comical personal benefit, pre-TV televangelists
Originally shared by Andrew “Incomitatum” Chason Hit Me with your Horror I am looking for some horror flicks. The newer the better. Good is good too. I liked House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects . I liked both the new Texas Chainsaw movies. Hills Have Eyes 1 was good (never saw the second . Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2 come to mind as well. A little camp, and/or "back woods" can't hurt. Any of you have any recommendations? Lets try and not go too far back than mid 90's. Aside: How was the new "Freddy" movie? Suggested So Far • Bones (2001) • Drag Me to Hell (2009) • The Grudge (2004) • Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (2010) • Dog Soldiers (2002) • The Decent (2005) • Creature (2011) • The Last Winter (2006)
Mike Ness auto-awesomed What a weird show. Huge mosh pit full of dude-bros and middle aged dudes (and some badass chick with hemp purse that she never lost) stomping around like the freakin' Bushwackers from the WWF. Met a middle-aged english couple who used to be in the music distributor business who had been at a bunch of the same shows as we had over the last few years.
Catholic Easter or Orthodox Easter?
ReplyDeleteWith or without Masada megadungeon?
ReplyDeleteCatholic and Orthodox are like a week apart this year I think? Gives me wiggle room.
ReplyDeleteWithout, Chris Kutalik, this one would be a dungeon crawl, but under Jesus's tomb.
I hope the bunny carcass can be salvaged for rare materials.
ReplyDeleteRevenge of Zombie Jesus!
ReplyDeleteCan there be an egg hunt across the hexes
ReplyDeleteNo, Vampire Jesus! He gave his blood for you and now he wants it back.

ReplyDeleteYou guys are more blasphemous than I am.
ReplyDeleteCarry on.
