  2. So far I bought a paper house, gave myself bad luck by giving money to urchins, but they led me to a shop I wanted, trained with my master's ghost, and passed on hiring a warrior named Gui Lei who needs money to pay off blackmailers.

    I had the Stars Without Number NPC generator right in front of me to come up with that last bit. Too much trouble for Loplop though. He wants to take his fried rats, firecrackers, and new thieves tools and try a locked door in that first pagoda he explored.

  3. The locked door got me nothing but a room with a demon statue that spewed burning oil at me. No secret doors either. Time to search a new pagoda.
