Tataouinea hannibalis is a "small" sauropod that is disappointingly not named after Tattooine, the Star Wars planet.


Tataouinea hannibalis is a "small" sauropod that is disappointingly not named after Tattooine, the Star Wars planet. But it turns out both the planet and the dinosaur are named after the city of Tataouine in Tunisia.

And the species is named after Hannibal, the Carthaginian general, so I guess that's cool.
