The exit from the dungeons of the Temple of Elemental Evil is finally revealed! The Fighter (me) uses his stonewalk potion to walk through the walls and escape with a single hit point left. The Ranger (Abby) daringly steps right onto a trap (clear!) to escape. We ran away from those goddamn monsters.

We win our first session. A little bit of loot is accumulated, but not much.

    It's a bit different than Ravenloft, but still compatible.

    If I were to only buy 1 of the 4 (Ravenloft, Drizzt, Ashardalon, Temple of Elemental Evil) would this be the one to recommend?

    I've played this and Ravenloft. They're all good, so choose by the theme you like.

    I would recommend Ashardalon as the most repayable. Drizzit is maybe the coolest characters and Ravenloft is the hardest. I got ToEE at Gencon but am still in the process of painting minis and going to buy a case for the bits.

    Ravenloft can be broken depending on characters you play and the monster you face. You can't beat the werewolf with some combinations.

This is my gaming circle minus my ACKS players. I am such an asshole. Since they're in the big city now, the players really wanted to know if there were any magic weapons for sale. ACKS ain't 3e or 4e though. There is exactly one magic weapon for sale. I rolled randomly to see what it was and... ...it's a cursed -2 sword. So I told the players there's a weapons dealer/fence who's looking to get rid of a magic sword he's gotten ahold of...cheap. Only 6,000gp when usually a +1 item would be 10,000gp. So far they are not suspicious. They're going to be so pissed at me. I can barely contain my excitement.
