NTW is, from my googling, one of those third string mutant background characters seen in some of the x-books, though I think in the comics her powers are sort of generically psychic, rather than amusingly (and appropriate to her name) explosive.
I heard the writers were looking through a list of available characters, saw the name, and without knowing anything about the character put her in the movie.
Colossus's giant boy scout routine was great. Pointing out Angel Dust's wardrobe malfunction and getting sucker punched for it was one of the best scenes in the movie.
Originally shared by Jonathan Tweet Tonight, my "Lethal Damage" 13th Age campaign draws to a close. Meanwhile, the guys are work have talked me into running a couple D&D sessions for them. That was the day 13th Age was announced, and they're happy to play 13th Age instead. That will be my "Great Center" campaign, based in the imperial capital of Axis, the center of the world. It's my opportunity to explore the setting from yet another perspective.
Correction in comments, I'm still mad Ok, I found out the 5e allosaurus from Tomb of Annihilation was only CR2 and was outraged, so I made a comparison of a D&D character and allosaurus specimen MOR 693. Then I compared the allosaurus to a polar bear, also CR2. The bear has 5HD and the allosaurus has 6HD. So, I take it back. CR 2 is fine.
I pretty much had Pool's reaction when I heard about the character.
ReplyDeleteI just figured she was Boom-Boom with a less shitty name.
ReplyDeleteI thought she was Cannonball from the preview.
ReplyDeleteShe was from Grant Morrison's New X-Men run.

"What's it going to be, mean comment or sullen silence?"
ReplyDelete"...ok, you got me in a box here."
She was great, as was Colossus.
