Old Crow. Not sure if he's still making stuff or not. Website says he's on hiatus and that was 2013. I bought these years ago and they've been sitting in a box.
Jim, I was just googling and the guy that sculpted these is a modeler for movies. Looks like he's recently worked on Gravity, Star Wars, and Guardians of the Galaxy! I feel pretty lucky to have these! They're made of the smoothest resin I've ever seen.
sweet! Resin has come leaps and bounds from where it was just a couple years ago. Check out some of the stuff Spartan is doing with Firestorm Planetfall. Its crazy!
Random idea for high-lethality D&D campaigns: Character death unlocks new classes and races. Maybe useful in “special snowflake” campaigns where no one reads your carefully crafted setting material. Instead you roll it out piecemeal as PCs bite the dust. “I really want to play a saurian warlock…sure, I’ll take a drink of that mystery potion.” Someone probably thought of this before.
Hey, I'm using Jeff and Brendan's 20 questions to help me get a feel for my upcoming Perdition campaign. Never done it before. Highly recommended. http://jrients.blogspot.com/2011/04/twenty-quick-questions-for-your.html http://www.necropraxis.com/2012/02/24/20-quick-questions-rules/
What scale are these?
ReplyDelete15mm.
ReplyDeleteThis warms my heart.
ReplyDeleteJames LaManna how should I ink these big, flat surfaces? Just drybrush afterwards?
ReplyDeleteGet yourself a dropper bottle of Army Painter Dark Tone. http://www.miniaturemarket.com/amywp1136.html?gclid=Cj0KEQjw8u23BRCg6YnzmJmPqYgBEiQALf_XzRqZv0drgbSFmRERc-t2Qm6iZjl30C8GE05GwlRmMN4aAj4r8P8HAQ
ReplyDeleteUse it straight, don't dilute. I quick drybrush afterwards usually looks nice
So paint it all over, not just textured areas?
ReplyDeleteYep, slop it on. If it starts to pool on a flat surface just wipe it with your brush.
ReplyDeleteWhat miniature line are these from?
