Help me out, nerds.

Help me out, nerds. I’m bad at making up names for fantasy things. I need a few more month names for my Perdition campaign’s calendar.
Suitably fiendish/devilish.

  4. The French revolutionary calendar renamed the months for prevailing weather conditions such as calling August "hot summer" (Thermidor) and September "grape harvest " (Vendémiaire).

You could do something like that - do devils have preferred punishments/acitvities by month e.g. The Month of icy drownings etc..

  5. I can't decide if Ian Reilly or Gus L has my favorite suggestion. Depends on the tone of your campaign, I guess.

  6. That’s the predicament I’m in. The tone is closer to Gus’s so I’m going with that, but Ian really made me laugh.
Here’s what I came up with, all prefaced with "The Month of":
    Icy Drowning
    Quartering
    The Rack
    Pressing by Rocks
    Flagellation
    The Gallows
    Hot Irons
    Scaphism
    Pitchcapping
    The Iron Maiden
    Defenstration
    Flaying

  7. Casey G. You might (like the French Revolutionaries) try to make them seasonally appropriate? Not sure how, but it could be amusing.

  8. "Staking in the Sun" might need to go on there.

  9. What Gus L suggests with the Revolutionary calendar in what inspired The City's calendar: http://sorcerersskull.blogspot.com/2010/12/calendars-girls.html

  10. trey causey I forgot about that - man now I'm just reading through your old "The City" posts.  It makes me kinda want to write a LBB exploration dungeon crawl for Weird Adventures.  Such good stuff.
