Abby and I finished season 1 of Stranger Things this weekend (I’d watched it, she hadn’t). Abby loves Eleven and the kids, because how can you not, but she really loved Nancy and Hopper. So in the trailer for the new season when Hop throws Nancy a rifle “and she just swings it up like BAM,” Abby’s hype levels went off the charts.

    Also, while at the corn maze this weekend, we did one of those “pumpkin flings” where you shoot a gourd out of a giant slingshot. Abby picks up a gourd and says, “This is the monster slayer.”

    He gave Joyce an MP5 at the end of last season. As a chief of police he's authorized to deputize civilians when necessary. He just doesn't like doing that to kids. But Nancy is probably 18 now.

This is my gaming circle minus my ACKS players. I am such an asshole. Since they're in the big city now, the players really wanted to know if there were any magic weapons for sale. ACKS ain't 3e or 4e though. There is exactly one magic weapon for sale. I rolled randomly to see what it was and... ...it's a cursed -2 sword. So I told the players there's a weapons dealer/fence who's looking to get rid of a magic sword he's gotten ahold of...cheap. Only 6,000gp when usually a +1 item would be 10,000gp. So far they are not suspicious. They're going to be so pissed at me. I can barely contain my excitement.
