Paleontologists found the toe bone of a baby spinosaurus that would have been the size of a dog. I bet it was adorable. More troubling is this size comparison that shows what a monster spinosaurus was. Literal water dragon.

    Watching this spinosaur stuff unfold is almost as crazy as when they finally figured out what was up with therizinosaurs. ("Oh, they're dinosaur ground sloths.")

    It's wonderful that they're turning out so weird. Not just another giant theropod (which should have been obvious from their skulls).

    Casey G. Once they figured out Baryonyx was a spinosaurid it was all over.
