Why am I not a wizard?

Why am I not a wizard? I was born in the wrong reality.. either that or a wandering barbarian... wtf am I doing in an office pushing paper? I should be ruling over townsfolk with fear and destroying empires... 

so that was a nice short daydream.. where do you think you should be? Past, present, future or scifi based alt reality etc??
