Started the new 13th Age campaign last night.

It's a sword and planet setting I'm calling Acheron. Based mostly on lyrics from the Sword and Clutch.

Things learned last night:
You actually can run a D&D game without minis and a battlemat (who knew?)
Walker Wingman of earth will automatically assume alien orbs are grenades and throw them at bad guys.
Hoo-mans should not cross Braxus, stegoman of clan Khona. He will crush them with his club.
Pyros Hellborn is cursed.
Crits from Algo-Ha the silicore rockman hurt.

    Andrew M it's the cover of Polyhedron #160, back when it was published back-to-back with Dungeon. It was Dungeon #101. I couldn't find it on the web anywhere, so I had to scan my copy.

    That would explain why a reverse image search turned up nothing. Is there a mention of the artist?

    It's listed as Niklas Janssen. There are a couple other RPG things with that name. I'm not sure if this is the same guy, since it's spelled Jansson, but the style is similar.

This is my gaming circle minus my ACKS players. I am such an asshole. Since they're in the big city now, the players really wanted to know if there were any magic weapons for sale. ACKS ain't 3e or 4e though. There is exactly one magic weapon for sale. I rolled randomly to see what it was and... ...it's a cursed -2 sword. So I told the players there's a weapons dealer/fence who's looking to get rid of a magic sword he's gotten ahold of...cheap. Only 6,000gp when usually a +1 item would be 10,000gp. So far they are not suspicious. They're going to be so pissed at me. I can barely contain my excitement.
