Daddy longlegs are not really spiders, I bet that makes you feel better. Also counter to the persistent myth they aren't venomous at all.

    Daddy long legs aren't spiders and don't have facial expressions. I used to see them all of the time in Vermont...that said, a big mob of them is pretty creepy.

    Growing up in the Ouachita Nataional Forest in OK, there would be enormous clusters of these damn things clinging precariously to the corner of every exterior door frame.

    This is a reasonably accurate depiction of opening my front door.
