Follow up to Ice-T's reading a D&D audio book. I listened to the latest podcast. I quote :
"What wouldn't Ice T like about a dungeon or a dragon? That shit sounds dope."
"I'm definitely gonna play a game. I want to be a dungeon master."
"People said I should start my own game. I think I'll call it Ghettos & Gangsters... "

  1. If nothing else, the man is a show business pro. He knows how to work a crowd and milk a bit.

  6. I'm imagining it done South Park-style, with the picture just as shown here, but the mouth moves like a marionette.

  7. The original thing where he talks about reading the book didn't sound offensive to me.  Did people get offended that he had to say more on it?

It sounded like he was impressed with the dedication people put into it and comparing himself as ignorant to the concept.

  8. He said the response to the podcast from D&D nerds was phenomenal. But there were some that thought he was disparaging D&D when he said how hard it was for him to read. He said that wasn't it, "It would be hard for me to read a book on biotechnology or quantum mechanics or some shit too."

AND he verified that this was a D'rizzt story. That explains the magic talking sword.

  10. In the podcast he said he would never do a fantasy audiobook again, I wonder if he is warming to the idea.   His podcast got a ton of geek exposure on the first one.

  11. I wouldn't do one, I see his hesitation on that.

but if he made his own version of D&D, I'd read that.
