This is my gaming circle minus my ACKS players. I am such an asshole. Since they're in the big city now, the players really wanted to know if there were any magic weapons for sale. ACKS ain't 3e or 4e though. There is exactly one magic weapon for sale. I rolled randomly to see what it was and... ...it's a cursed -2 sword. So I told the players there's a weapons dealer/fence who's looking to get rid of a magic sword he's gotten ahold of...cheap. Only 6,000gp when usually a +1 item would be 10,000gp. So far they are not suspicious. They're going to be so pissed at me. I can barely contain my excitement.
I am muting all references to this to prevent myself from believing it actually exists. Bam!

ReplyDeleteNot just no. Hell no.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Zardoz twice, why wouldn't I watch this at least once?
ReplyDeleteWell, I watched Battlefield Earth for the unintentional humor value. I got to the end and it turned out it didn't have any! It was just objectively bad. Zardoz has that coked-up, crazy-ass humor value. This is more a Battlefield Earth, I think.
ReplyDeleteBut I too will watch just about anything once. On Netflix.
What? What's wrong with it? I think it looks potentially neat!
ReplyDeleteThat was for asking you about my printer the other night I'm sure, so I'll let that comment slide, Bret Gillan.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I over reacted. It's just, the first movie is one of my favorites and it is actually one of a few comic book movies that are a really good adaption.
ReplyDeleteAs it turns out, I've been reading all the original Eastman & Laird comics lately. (...for reasons...) I'm a little impressed at the TCRI reference. The original rumor was Michael Bay was going to make them space aliens or some such bullshit.
ReplyDeleteHe actually took so much heat he backed off that. Maybe shredder is a white alien ninja?
ReplyDeleteOk, that's an actual possibility:
