I have released a luck blade with two wishes into my ACKS campaign.
The player asked if I was going to be a dick about the wishes since it's a luck blade and not a tricky genie. I told him if he really wanted to play safe to order a turkey sandwich.
"I'll make a wish that can't backfire. I wish for a turkey sandwich, on rye bread, with lettuce and mustard, and, AND I don't want any zombie turkeys, I don't want to turn into a turkey myself, and I don't want any other weird surprises. You got it?"
[a turkey sandwich materializes and Homer takes a bite]
"Hey! Not bad... Nice, hot mustard... Good bread... The turkey's a little dry... THE TURKEY'S A LITTLE DRY! Oh, foe, the cursed teeth! What demon from the depths of hell created thee! "
origin of "frogurt" which is so much better than the more commonly used "fro-yo", which should fro-go die in a fire.
ReplyDeleteHe simply wished to be stronger. This is what I wrote back:
ReplyDeleteBock feels his muscles bulge and his strength is now 18. As an Alanis Morissette ironic twist, all his clothes are slightly too small now.
Morissettean Irony is always such a letdown.
ReplyDeleteWait, it comes with two wishes? Do they know how many wishes are left? Don't things usually offer three wishes? Because if they're assuming they have three wishes... that is pretty evil.
ReplyDeleteIn ACKS a luck blade comes with 1d4+1 wishes. I rolled 2 wishes. I named the sword Lagomorph. The hilt is in the shape of a rabbit, with the ears forming the crossguard. The hint about how many wishes are left was that two of the rabbit’s feet are missing, leaving two still there. He wished to be stronger, and another of the feet disappeared.
ReplyDeleteHe's saving the last wish for an emergency.
