"Standing in the middle of Bern, Switzerland, is the Kindlifresser, or “Child Eater.” The fountain sculpture towers above the ground a baby half stuffed into his mouth, and a sack full of three alarmed tots slung over its shoulder presumably for later snacking. The disturbing sculpture is no modern work of art; built in 1546, it is one of the oldest fountains in the city of Bern."

ReplyDelete"Makes note to have PC's encounter Child Eater in future"
ReplyDeleteEurope, dude. They're f-d up over there.
ReplyDeleteI'm showing this to Abby before bed tonight.
ReplyDelete(Apologies for commenting on all your posts: drinking coffee and internetting here). I was in Bern years ago. There's also a statue of a bear in full armour standing on guard somewhere. I think I have a better photo of Cronus in my photo album. It's pretty weird sipping coffee under that thing's goggle-eyed gaze.
