I'm not a horror expert or anything, but I think The Descent is the scariest movie I've ever seen. I've seen more disturbing and grosser movies, but this movie makes me jump.

Also a good D&D 0-level adventure. Who's laughing at morlocks now?

  1. I'm not a huge fan of horror movies in general, but I agree with Casey Garske; The Descent is one of the best.

  2. I have not seen the sequel, Alex Mayo and I'll keep not seeing it.

  3. I rather like the director's Dog Soldiers, as well, but as his oeuvre goes along, his stuff seems to get thinner...

  4. i find it overrated but enjoyable. i think it's more a commentary on the state of modern horror films that a solid story competently told is enough to garner high praise.

  5. Doomsday is a bit off, but fun. Centurion on the other hand is a movie I can watch any day of the week.

I was glad he directed the big action episodes of Game of Thrones too.

  6. Casey Garske I thought Centurion was uneven; it had moments that, true enough, were really good, but it felt like the pacing was a bit off and I thought the end was abrupt, not well thought out, and didn't seem very satisfying. On the whole, I liked it; I just didn't think it was as well put together end to end as his first films were.
