The Eagle was a weird movie.


The Eagle was a weird movie. Here we see Mogua and his Huron warriors the Seal Prince and his Seal People warriors. They...were not really bad guys. The point seems to be about how personal, familial, and national honor are really important, but the movie actually portrays all of these things as leading to stupid and pointless death. 

Also, I'm pretty sure Picts don't work that way. But the attack on the fort at the beginning was quite good.

    Yeah, but we watch this one a lot because my wife likes the dance scenes with Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell. :-)

    Casey G. "Centurion was way better" strikes me as damning with faint praise, since I didn't like that movie much at all. Pretty much its only selling point to me was the very fact that it was Roman Britain.

    Maybe I need to give a re-watch. I don't remember why I didn't like it, I just remember having a really negative reaction to it. I might have just been in nitpicky-about-history mode.

This is my gaming circle minus my ACKS players. I am such an asshole. Since they're in the big city now, the players really wanted to know if there were any magic weapons for sale. ACKS ain't 3e or 4e though. There is exactly one magic weapon for sale. I rolled randomly to see what it was and... ...it's a cursed -2 sword. So I told the players there's a weapons dealer/fence who's looking to get rid of a magic sword he's gotten ahold of...cheap. Only 6,000gp when usually a +1 item would be 10,000gp. So far they are not suspicious. They're going to be so pissed at me. I can barely contain my excitement.
