Doesn't seem to be any compelling reason to make an effort this year.
Doesn't seem to be any compelling reason to make an effort this year. No LotFP adventure, same tons of Pathfinder crap, same quick starts from other years.

it's the only thing that makes me not feel so bad that we have no FLGS. alls I wanted was the DCC screen, but NOOOOO. ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah, that DCC screen is the only thing at all compelling. And my store does a grab bag style thing, so you don't know what you're getting.
ReplyDeletekreg Mosier check Noble Knight, they often have the Free RPG Day stuff for a penny.
ReplyDeleteYep, I was all excited until I saw what the offerings actually were. Pass.
ReplyDeleteWayne Rossi thanks Wayne! will do!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to this years, just to get in on the DCC funnel that Marc Bruner is running.
ReplyDeleteWe are doing games all day at my FLGS, not all from the kit, either. The kit didn't excite me that much, so we threw it open to anything that wasn't dnd. We love dnd, but we have it twice a week at the store already. Time to try new things!
ReplyDeleteYeah, if I was gaming at the store, I'd be more excited.
ReplyDeleteI just happen to be going to a game store for games that day, so eh.
ReplyDeleteDCC and nights black agents/13th age (to hack up for myself to use) is all I'm really after. I might grab the pathfinder thing just because I like goblins
ReplyDeleteThat Hellas quick-start had compelling art so I ended up clicking on it and seeing a bit about it and Khepera Publishing's Atlantis game. Kinda intrigued. Does anybody have any experience with either of those?
ReplyDeleteI got the quick start on DTRPG a few years ago but never got a chance to play it. We have 3 tables scheduled of it tomorrow, thanks to the publisher volunteering to run it!
ReplyDeleteStephanie Bryant that is so cool!
ReplyDeleteMy game shop doesn't get anything in.
ReplyDeleteAlso, my group isn't meeting due to our transportation guy having Real Life step in.
