5e wizard with few to no direct damage spells. Stupid idea? Rest of the party is martial classes, fighter, paladin, ranger, barbarian, rogue.

ReplyDeleteSave or Suck is very good in 5E especially since you can use that Sorcerer power to force them to roll disadvantage on it.
ReplyDeleteI say go for it, the party is probably doing enough damage, be the weird one muttering in the back who's situationally useful.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I play in our 5e game. Aggi Redwing, forest gnome diviner Wizard, and son of a famous military captain yet he refuses to learn the martial sorcery of his mother's profession. Though, be does carry a sling she gave him out of a sense of obligation. Ironically, when I'm absent for a session, the GM takes particular delight in Aggi using the sling. So far, he's gotten the kill on several badies.

Aggi has become one of my top ten faves.

ReplyDeleteMy PC is a witch, And her powers consist of a little ability in flying, and levitating things.
ReplyDeleteHer primary ability is to mirror or suppress the powers of others. So before that is useful I need to RP and guess their powers, and find a way to make it useful.
No combat skills at all. Low physical attributes. Still fun to play in a combat.
