Roll20 have you talked to anyone at Google about the new version of Hangouts and whether it will support apps like yours eventually?

Comments

  1. Roll20 is already supported by Google Hangouts, isn't it?

  2. New version cuts out 3rd party apps.

  3. I find roll20 works better on a separate browser, anyways.

  4. But then your DM might not see you flipping them off.

  5. We've been in contact with some Google folks, but what we know is pretty much what's publicly available:

    1) No word on a "final" decision on whether apps will be in the new Hangouts. But right now they're not supported.

    2) However, the "classic" Hangouts will be available indefinitely.

If you click on the "Launch in Google+ Hangouts" link on the Game Details page of your Roll20 Game, you'll automatically load in the classic interface with the app. So as long as you're launching it via that button, nothing has changed.

  6. Roll20 Oh, that's great that classic hangouts will remain.
