Lyle is my favourite character by far, and I'll happily watch anything with Simon Russell Beale in it from now on. ....I fear anything else I see Eva Green in will be a disappointment from now on, not because PD was particularly great (the writing especially) but because they gave her her head to an extent that I doubt other directors will follow. The trailer for Miss Peregrine looks charming and all, but if she doesn't have at least one Devil Woman Will Eat Your Eyeballs scene I will feel they wasted her time.
Random idea for high-lethality D&D campaigns: Character death unlocks new classes and races. Maybe useful in “special snowflake” campaigns where no one reads your carefully crafted setting material. Instead you roll it out piecemeal as PCs bite the dust. “I really want to play a saurian warlock…sure, I’ll take a drink of that mystery potion.” Someone probably thought of this before.
Hey, I'm using Jeff and Brendan's 20 questions to help me get a feel for my upcoming Perdition campaign. Never done it before. Highly recommended. http://jrients.blogspot.com/2011/04/twenty-quick-questions-for-your.html http://www.necropraxis.com/2012/02/24/20-quick-questions-rules/
Lyle's no NPC!
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting season 2! If he becomes a regular I'm happy.
ReplyDeleteJust... Don't watch the last season. I would have been perfectly happy with what I got it if I'd just left it alone.
ReplyDeleteI can't anyway! Only two seasons on Netflix.
