Originally shared by Curt Thompson This is an interesting theory, but I notice the author has to omit one of the most important Heinlein novels to make it work. Time Enough For Love was written in the very early 70s and was a straight (heh) extrapolation of the chaotic and frenetic zeitgeist of that era. http://www.locusmag.com/Perspectives/2012/11/the-joke-is-on-us-the-two-careers-of-robert-a-heinlein/

I hear the transforming sound effect in my head every time the gif loops.
ReplyDeleteStarting to think you're the most consistent player/DM in our circles. Unless these gifs are really just the tearful lies of yer loneliness.
ReplyDeleteAnxy P. Doubtful, I know of many others who game every week but don't post about it. Myself included. :)
ReplyDeleteBut how could Casey actually game with all the time it must take to find all these sweet gifs?
ReplyDeleteBut wait, which part is doubtful?
ReplyDeleteDoubtful that he's the most consistent. Others are equally as consistent. Heh.
ReplyDeleteBestow curse worked wonders for us against the transformer.
ReplyDeleteAt least once a week, I just announce it every time. But I do spend way too long finding gifs.
ReplyDeleteAnd fucking cursed CH0P-3R. Couldn't roll a WIS save to save his Spark.
ReplyDeleteCasey G. searches for gifs like most people check the time. Oh, spare second, found a great gif.
ReplyDeleteThe real question is what came first? The game session idea or the gif? I am betting there are plenty of times where he found a gif and decided to alter the playsession to fit the gif he found.
I will say it was originally ninjas and not Cobra Troopers. Then I was thinking about big rigs, so I thought about Optimus Prime, so I thought the helicopter should be transformer, so I went and found a "Roll Out" gif.
ReplyDeleteRemember the short lived Transformer RPG we made in college? We should do that again.
