You could use any character you wanted, but if you used Goldmoon before you got to the dragon, you had no way to win. Her throwing the crystal staff was the only way to kill the dragon. Nothing told you that, of course.
It was a sort of test, to see if I could play Euro games on an American console. There were conflicting views online. The verdict is yes, but the refresh rates are different on PAL, and NTSC systems, so I believe, if I recall correctly, the Euro games play slower on American systems. Didn't help though.
It reminded me of how we used to play, when I was a kid, and DMs thought it was their job to kill all the characters, except their best friend's.
I'll snag this later. The first one was a lot of fun. Originally shared by Android Central Publisher Paradox Interactive has released Knights of Pen & Paper 2 for Android. Fans of table-top RPGs can once again get the full experience on a mobile device. We got a chance to play an early version of this game in March at GDC 2015, and now Knights of Pen & Paper 2 is available for… #android http://www.androidcentral.com/knights-pen-paper-2-brings-role-playing-and-satire-together-android
Okay, Hotline Miami , killing a dude by dumping a pot full of boiling water on his face? Awesome. I still suck at this game though. I'm not twitchy enough.
Who's the dude on the bottom row, between Tasslehoff and Flint? Riverwind? Gilthanas or something?
ReplyDeleteRiverwind. Also I think that's supposed to be Tanis on the far right, not Flint.
ReplyDeleteNo, Tanis is on the far left. #notallbeards
ReplyDeleteWhich one is Willie Nelson?
ReplyDeletePaul V. you're right. I was seeing Flint's helmet as being big poofy hair so I thought it had to be Tanis, because no way Flint had that much hair.
ReplyDeleteOH GOD WHY AM I THINKING ABOUT THIS

ReplyDeleteHow much allowance did I save up to buy this? Probably the first terrible game I paid money for.
ReplyDeleteDragonlance was serious business.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you guys weren't old-school enough to handle the Dragonlance megadungeon experience. #TougherThanTombofHorrors
ReplyDeleteMan, my uncle had so many CGA games. Sword of Aragon, Leather Goddesses of Phobos ... Three Stooges...
ReplyDeleteDon't hate me, I played the Amiga version.
ReplyDeleteI played it on the NES.
ReplyDeleteI have that game, right now. I paid cash money so I could play it on my Sega MS. It really does suck. It makes Miracle Warriors seem state of the art.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences.

The Master System has no friends.
ReplyDeleteI played the shit out of this back in the day. I also totally forgot about
ReplyDeleteDid you ever get good/beat it?
ReplyDeleteI did beat it. By accident I think. As in, I happened to be playing Goldmoon and attacking meant she threw the staff.
ReplyDeleteThen I tried to beat it with other characters later but couldn't.
