Something I've realized writing Stay Frosty. I was assuming 10 levels to sort of max out your character. But this is rules-lite OSR type stuff. Better to assume five levels is a more realistic playability goal. Give characters extra stuff earlier and faster. People won’t be playing it long anyway.
honestly this is something i struggle with in my savage worlds games too. accelerated character advancement is rarely a problem in the eyes of the players. but it can complicate things for the GM. we always manage to have fun but every campaign leaves me feeling like i could have struck a better balance with character advancements.
