From Voyageurs National Park on FB: Called “Catamaran” by locals, Bert Upton is among the strangest of historical characters on area waters. He lived in a hut built over a dug-out at Squirrel Narrows. Found frozen to death in the 1930s by Kettle Falls pioneer Oliver Knox; Upton was perched lifeless in the snow just a half-mile from his home. Shunning civilization, Upton defined the word hermit. First spotted rowing his crude log raft on Namakan, no one knows how he got there. Upton’s accent implied an English heritage but any personal inquiries brought a stony silence. Thank you Casey! I looked at an older version and never tried it. I will look at the new one :) Those guys put out so much interesting stuff!
ReplyDeleteHey, a monster unit "has 10 attacks in Melee". I don't think I have enough room to roll that many dice :) I think that using d6s only is not always the best idea... Are you and Coop going to try some serious dino outbreak with HammerWars?
ReplyDeleteYeah, this is the most "buckets o' dice" game they've done. Couple things I feel are missing, like ranged attacks for monsters/walkers. You could purchase them, but is that for one die? Or five or ten?
ReplyDeleteMight try the same Mars scenario I did with Warstuff with these rules.
Casey G. Uhm, I guess you will buy a single ranged attack, but that's a question for our kind Anon! :) Ah, your Mars table will rock with a massive massacre! I am looking forward to read a comparative AAR ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'll maybe head back to the forums.
