Frostgrave + Legos
Frostgrave + Legos
There's a solo campaign in the Frostgrave Folio. The first scenario is on a 2'x2' board, so I thought "I can build that out of Legos and use my Heroica figures." Each 2x2 plate w/ center post counts as 1".
The scenario takes place in an alchemal factory that has just had an explosion. This creates a mutant alchemal monstrosity that wanders the board. Bad initiative rolls mean a giant rat enters the board (I used bats) and the monstrosity gets to go first. Right away the monstrosity saw my warband because it's random move gave it line of sight. It's tough, but in a couple rounds I got lucky and killed it. It reduced my archer and infantryman to 1hp each though. But with it dead, they ran around and picked up treasure tokens, and Grishka the goblin elementalist ended up with 205 xp.
It was really hard to get my phone in there to take pictures.

ooooooh! nice!
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteJeez, that's a scary monster!
ReplyDeleteIt's googly eyes see into your soul!
ReplyDeleteThe monster is from the Heroica set thing?
ReplyDeleteNo, I built the monster. The little dudes are called microfigs, and they're from Heroica. Most of Lego's games came with this tiny sized figures for playing pieces.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Heroica sets are where I got all those center stud tiles.
Oh Heroica Is a game set for Lego? Dope monster, should stay it up as a Stay Frosty enemy type.
ReplyDeleteOut of print game, unfortunately. There were five or so different sets that you could hook all together. It was like a really simple Heroquest.
ReplyDeleteI loved Heroica one of the best things to happen to LEGO. I don't think enough people knew exactly what it was or how cool it was.
