Dave Greenspoon NIGHTGOWN REFURBISHER
Usain Bolt runs 27mph for 100 meters. Most humans can't run more than 10-12mph. When I jog my average is about 6mph. How fast am I going when I run flat out? Maybe double that? How long could I do that? Not very long.

Two recent studies have concluded that Tyrannosaurus rex probably ran no faster than 16.8 mph, slow enough for a human to outrun over short distances. What do you think?

ReplyDelete(completely off-topic, but that thought just popped into my head).
Also, how long can the T-Rex run? They came from a much more oxygenated time.
ReplyDeleteYou would be in really good shape in a T-rex time, or you wouldn't be in T-rex time.
ReplyDeleteI would guess Rexy was more wolf than cheetah.
ReplyDeleteCasey G. Our model is a solitary hunting, apex predator, though, right? Like "lioness" maybe? (Still depends on surprise and power to overcome, not speed or tactics?)
ReplyDelete"Coyotes may occasionally form mutualistic hunting relationships with American badgers, assisting each other in digging up rodent prey."
ReplyDeleteWow.
T-Rex's and ... something else like a badger...
