My GW games splurge is almost over. I've decided Shadow War: Armageddon is the best substitute for an XCOM miniatures game. XCOM could be the Scouts or Guard Veterans, and a mix of the other races could proxy for whatever aliens you might want.

    Project Elite is still on my list as a good "kill the aliens game" although with its fast paced dexterity element it looks more like a Starship Troopers game than an XCOM game.
