I had this book.

I had this book. It might still be at my parent’s house. Big book, full color, super weird landscapes and skies that make the age of dinosaurs a completely alien world. This art fit right in with my obsession with 50’s sci-fi and the alien landscapes in movies like Forbidden Planet. You can hear the theramin music while looking at the pictures in this book.

    Rod Ruth is one of my favorite artists. This and his Album of Dinosaurs are pretty amazing.

    Oh the flashbacks. The red sky on this page was a very bold design choice. It definitely grabs the attention, though it's kind of odd how it, and the silhouetted mountains draw attention away from the solid illustration work in the foreground. This was a beautiful book and I wish I still had it.

This is my gaming circle minus my ACKS players. I am such an asshole. Since they're in the big city now, the players really wanted to know if there were any magic weapons for sale. ACKS ain't 3e or 4e though. There is exactly one magic weapon for sale. I rolled randomly to see what it was and... ...it's a cursed -2 sword. So I told the players there's a weapons dealer/fence who's looking to get rid of a magic sword he's gotten ahold of...cheap. Only 6,000gp when usually a +1 item would be 10,000gp. So far they are not suspicious. They're going to be so pissed at me. I can barely contain my excitement.
