Yesterday after seeing Stephen Holowczyk​​'s Blood Bowl tournament pics, I fired up Chaos Edition on the ol' computer for the first time in months.  Game 1: Actually the final game of a tournament was where I'd quit. High Elves. Only won because twice they "went for it" to score and failed both times. Game 2: New tourney, vs. Nurgle. Won no problem. Game 3: Undead. Won, but some wimpy zombie killed my fucking level 6 troll. Killed him fucking dead. Game 4: Halflings. No problem, I thought. I squashed them left and right but in the end they had broken one black orc's neck, put my thrower out for a game with a broken hand,  and broken a blitzer's skull. And they tied the game on their last fucking play.

Playing Warstuff with Coop and his Star Wars toys again. Droids were the MVPs. They stunned the heavy stormtrooper, then Darth Vader next round. Entangle is very effective against high Quality targets that are otherwise hard to hit. Han put a blaster bolt into Vader before he could recover. Artoo & Threepio: Q3, slow, undead (droid), entangle (R2's electric blast) (Black Widow filling in for Princess Leia in the background.)

Note to publishers: Quickstart rules for Free RPG Day are bullshit . No one wants them. An actual (even slim!) adventure or supplement will tell you more about a ruleset than a quickstart. LotFP, Paizo, Pelgrane, and Chaosium actually have useful items for Free RPG Day, but that's it. And I'll get Slugs because I'll have to ask for it, but with how few Pelgrane and Chaosium items there are per box, your odds of getting them are slim. Abby and I are getting hyped for Civil War so we watched Winter Soldier last night. We’re watching Cap and Bucky kick the crap out of each other at the end, Abby says, “They should do the thing like in Justice League where they attack each other at the same time and then it cuts away.” A minute later Falcon and Rumlow do just that and she yells, “BOOM! Lazy Sunday means Scarlet Heroes: Minecraft . Villagers hired Steve and Alex (they didn't want to pick new names) to clear out a cave of zombies and skeletons. They were doing pretty good until a creeper sneaked up on them and exploded.

Another game of Warstuff , this time with Coop's Star Wars toys, which I've secretly wanted to game with since he got them. The scenario was Tatooine Escape . Han, Luke, Chewie, and the droids had to get past the five Stormtroopers guarding the Falcon. Which they did handily. I only managed to knock Luke's punk ass out. Every other attack failed.

When my stream is full of FATE and Powered by the Apocalypse game posts... . . . . Really, I just needed an excuse to use this News Radio gif.

So that's what touching a live electrical wire is like. Now the question is, did I make a saving throw, or was the damage roll just low? Also, my fuse box is mislabeled. That was not the switch for the dishwasher.

Can't stop playing Warstuff . Coop has been dying to play more "Star Wars D&D" but too much homework for his sister tonight. So 10 minutes prep gets us a Star Wars microfig Hoth battle. The snowtroopers beat Han and Chewie and the rebels. Big win for Coop and his beloved Empire. Coop is really getting the hang of gaming too, with comments like, "Why can't I roll a five?!" and, "I'm going to kill all your guys!"

One more game of Warstuff before calling it a night. Dug through my boxes of minis and found these old clicky battlemechs and these squat little walkers from a game whose name I can't even remember (I got them on sale for like 75% off or something, couldn't resist). The squad of soldiers are little Halo guys from some toy sets. The red squatty mechs won, with only Big Red left standing. 150pts played in less than an hour. I really love this game.

Tried out the Warstuff rules. Played the Invaders assaulting the Red Skull's dungeon. Human Torch went down round one. The Invaders then walked all over Hydra, until the end when Tyrannosaurus Reich ate Namor, Cap, and Bucky. Union Jack finally put it down.
