The kids and I watched Justice League: New Frontier last night. They hadn’t seen it. I’ve shown Abby a lot of Darwyn Cooke art, and she loved his style, so she was sad to hear he’d died of cancer. New Frontier has my favorite Wonder Woman, Hal Jordan, and Martian Manhunter.

Mrs. G wanted to watch Pompeii this weekend. Not enough Kit Harrington skin on Game of Thrones lately (until last night). I’d heard it was bad, but it’s hilariously bad. I’m sure someone thought Gladiator + Titanic was a good idea, but they were very, very wrong. Kiefer Sutherland was terribly miscast as an evil Roman senator. The volcano is really just a backdrop for a horribly clichéd story. Everyone spends their time sword-fighting and revenge seeking instead of escaping. But hey, Kit’s abs.
