This is my gaming circle minus my ACKS players. I am such an asshole. Since they're in the big city now, the players really wanted to know if there were any magic weapons for sale. ACKS ain't 3e or 4e though. There is exactly one magic weapon for sale. I rolled randomly to see what it was and... ...it's a cursed -2 sword. So I told the players there's a weapons dealer/fence who's looking to get rid of a magic sword he's gotten ahold of...cheap. Only 6,000gp when usually a +1 item would be 10,000gp. So far they are not suspicious. They're going to be so pissed at me. I can barely contain my excitement.

I got 13/13. That's not bragging, these were really easy. What I got from looking at the results was that old people are dumb. Ok, scientifically illiterate. It's a movie night. I watched Deathstalker too.  What a douche.

Centurion is on Netflix. I'd forgotten how good it is.  Sexy Fassbender, lots of blood and gore, and badasses abound. I also like how the picts motives are completely reasonable. The Romans are the bad guys to them and deserve what they get.

The World's End was a good one. A biting indictment of nostalgia and living in the past. Now I think I'll go watch Transformers and complain about how things aren't like they used to be.

Ironclad was pretty good. Brutal action, realistic sword fighting, and the camera doesn't turn away from the gore. I like "Magnificent Seven" movies, and this one hit the mark. Except for the tacked on romance. I'll forgive it though, since it does have Purefoy chopping dudes up.

Tonight in Deadlands, Alison Ziesel accidently shot Tom Gintner in the face while trying to save him from a vampire. The vampire did die when it fell off the top of the train they were on , along with Tom's character's body. As GM, this was so gratifying.

Tourists to the portal to the underworld were able to buy small birds or other animals (the sale of which supported the temple) and test out the toxic air that blew out of the mysterious cavern, which was connected to a temple with a pool. Saw Elysium last night. I liked it quite a bit. Not as good as District 9, but plenty good. District 9 was just mind-blowing movie, any followup had a hard road. Story: Pretty basic, but serviceable. I have no problem with the unambiguously evil rich people vs. scrappy poor people plot. It's not the satire of District 9, it's a straight up sci-fi "project today into the future" story. Dialogue: Like Pacific Rim, the dialogue isn't sparkly. But this is a visual story more than anything, so whatevs. The bad guy, Krueger, get's all the best lines. I think Sharlto Copley was probably improvising most of his stuff. He's great. Matt Damon was in Jason Bourne mode. Visuals: Mind blowing. The robots, man. These don't look a bit like effects. Also, spaceship and gun porn. Yes, please.

Hey guys, I think we'll try using a G+ Community for game chatter. This is  a replacement for the stupid forums on Obsidian Portal. Everything else stays on Obsidian Portal, meaning characters and adventure logs and such. And G+ isn't blocked at work... I made a category for in-game stuff and one for out-of-game stuff.
