Stupid Workaround For Those Who Use Communities, Hangout Events, & Roll20 No idea if this will keep working later, but for now: 1. Go to Roll20 and open a campaign page. 2. Press the arrow next to the "Join Game" button. 3. Select "Launch in G+." 4. Copy the Permanent Link in the pop-up box. 5. Share it to your Campaign's G+ Community. 6. Add the link to the "About this Community" or pin it to the top of the Community stream. This doesn't let you schedule anything because it's not an event. You'll want to do that through Calendar or something I guess. Everyone just goes to the community and hits the link at the scheduled time like a goddamn caveman. Also, you can still set up Events through the mobile app, but they are unconnected to Communities, so you can't invite one. I suggest making a circle of those people so you can invite them without adding them one-by-one.

I backed it on Kickstarter and it's definitely the thing I'm happiest I backed. Jonathan Tweet actually knows how to write a children's book. I read Michael Chabon's kids book last night, and while it's pretty good, it shows that writing a book for children is not the same as writing for adults. Jonathan does it right. And Karen's art is perfect. Originally shared by Grandmother Fish In one week, Grandmother Fish releases nationwide and Karen and I hope we can count on you to help us make a big splash. Two years ago, an agent reviewed the book but declined to take it because he didn’t think it was appealing. Meanwhile, a publisher of children’s nature books considered picking up Grandmother Fish, but a teacher advised them against it. He said that schools wouldn’t want it and that preschool is too young for kids to learn about evolution. These people didn’t think that the world was ready for an evolution book aimed at kids this young. In September, we find out

Slightly creepy an surreal experience at Abby's orthodontic consult. Dead-eyed assistant going on about how great the state fair is in deadpan tones. Orthodontist who looks like he has his hair cut with a bowl and talks too quietly. Resembling a rounder-faced Steve Buscemi. Too much talk about Abby's red hair. I read about this feeling in a Lovecraft story, I'm sure.

The 632-carat crystal group weighs about 4.4 ounces, and is the largest example recovered from the Chivor Mine in Colombia, one of the world’s most renowned emerald-producing countries. Because of their value, most emerald crystals of comparable size have been cut into gems and sold commercially. “Only a small number of large emeralds have been saved, and we are indeed lucky to have one of the fabulous few,” says George Harlow, curator in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences. Historical fiction sends me to Wikipedia a lot. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King%27s_German_Legion Captain Lossow of the King's German Legion is probably my favorite secondary character so far in Sharpe's books. He is fiercely loyal to the "German king that sits on the English throne." 3/4 done with Sharpe's Gold. I hope he lives.

Frostgrave on the brain. I talked to an Osprey guy at Gen Con. He said they had no plans for RPG books for Frostgrave. But it's so D&D that very little would need to be tweaked to make it into a campaign setting. No clerics, paladins, rangers, druids, warlocks, bards, or sorcerers (unless you have non-spellcasting versions of paladins, bards, and rangers) Humans only, (or not, who cares.) Tweaks to 5e spell schools to match Frostgrave schools. Expanded spell lists for the wizard bringing in some cleric and druid spells. The PCs could be working for a more powerful wizard, or just be in it for themselves. Rival crews would be a major source of antagonists.
Khairul Hisham must know more about this. Look at that Darth Vader.

Can't wait! Originally shared by Grandmother Fish Karen and I are excited to announce that our next Kickstarter campaign is going to go live in October. We will be raising funds to create a new evolution-themed card game, Clades. As with Grandmother Fish, we’ll publish the names of backers in the game. In biology, a “clade” is a complete branch of the evolutionary family tree. This powerful concept has revolutionized the way scientists classify living things, and our new game makes it easy and fun. The Clades game consists of 83 cards. Each card has one, two, or three types of animals illustrated on it. On any given card, the animals are all from one of three major clades: mammals, reptiles (including birds), or arthropods (insects, crustaceans, and arachnids). Players try to be the first to spot a match of three cards among 12 cards played face-up on the table. Each player also has a secret card that only they can use to make a match. If you spot a match, you collect those three c
